The Durham Cavaliers Cricket Team will be leaving next month for a two weeks tour to Auckland, New Zealand.

The team will play six 40 over cricket matches against several clubs in Auckland, the financial city. Their first match is against a team from North Shore Cricket Club on Nov. 17.

The 15-member Durham Cavaliers squad will be captained by Lawrence Lee. Vice-captain is Neville McCollin. Tour manager is Michael Phillips and Haskell Murray is the tour organizer.

The touring team, which was formed in 2006, consists mostly of ex-players from the Toronto & District Cricket Association League and participates in friendly cricket matches during the local cricket season.

Since its formation the team has made three overseas tours. In 2008 they toured London, England, in 2010 it was Melbourne, Australia and in 2012 they played in St. Lucia.
