Last Saturday night Montrealers came out in numbers to show their support for six lovely, intelligent ladies. The occasion was the Miss Montreal Carnival Queen Show 2016.

The competition was closely fought, but in the end Miss Jamaica Lettia Mc Nickle, sponsored by Frontline Restaurant, was crowned the new Miss Montreal Carnival Queen. She won best swimsuit, best interview, best evening walk and was the people’s choice. First runner up, Miss Trinidad and Tobago Candy Bajoon, sponsored by Autocare Performance, won best talent, most photogenic and Miss Congeniality. Second runner up was Miss Haiti Karine Antoine,sponsored by Afri-Carib. Other contestants were Miss Grenada Bianca Reust-Callam, Miss Canada Vanessa Smith and Miss St Vincent and the Grenadines Antonia Wynne.

MC Miss ShermaSalandy help made the evening a most pleasant one.

Organizer and producer Miss Dawn Mc Nichols did a bang up job, but admitted that it would not have been possible without the stalwart support of Steven Spencer and the many businesses and sponsors that donated door prizes, gifts and services for the occasion.

 

Clarence Jones, Aldon Inc, Shamies Boutique and Jahb’s Restaurant provided trophies and other services as did Christina formals, designers Robert Reid (KAYZIA COUTURE), Angella Alexis (Mad Fashions), Wendy lake and Dave Marshall.

 

Cecelia did the decorations, while Make- up artist Xquisitfaces by Shenique Maule,Sabi K Hinkson from Younique, and Hairdresser Hands of blessings Huelette Mc Nickle made the girls look even more fabulous.Kris Bennett ensured that brilliant photographic records were left to mark a memorable evening, while radio CKUT FM 90.3 and Cjlo AM 1690 ensured that news of the Montreal Carival Queen Show was spread far and wide.
