Planes grounded after mishap in Guyana

plane_crash_10-webA Caribbean Airlines (CAL) Boeing 737 and a Fly Jamaica Airways Boeing 767 were grounded after an accident at Cheddi Jagan   International airport on Tuesday morning.

According to news reports, the CAL plane, arriving from New York, was taxiing to its gate when it was struck the tail cone of the parked Fly Jamaica Airways plane.

The cone was completely ripped off.

There were no passengers aboard the Jamaican plane at the time of the accident.

CAL  confirmed that all its  passenger and crew safely disembarked after the accident.
