Ajax Anti-Black Racism Task Force goes live with Diversity XChange Speaker Series

The Ajax Anti-Black Racism Task Force is set to  launch its new Diversity XChange Speaker Series.

Professor Michel Shah and artist Robert Small will be the guest speakers at the first installment which will be live streamed on Wednesday May 12. starting at 6 p.m. They will discuss ” Black excellence.”

The five-part, online and interactive series aims to provide a positive space to facilitate ” discussions to help address and understand anti-Black, systemic and institutionalized racism,” says a news release from the Town of Ajax.

“Supporting the new Diversity XChange Speaker Series is just one example of Ajax’s commitment to positive action for the future,” says Ajax Mayor Shaun Collier

The series offers an opportunity for residents and community groups “to listen, learn and engage in meaningful conversations – all while participating from the safety and comfort of home,” he  pointed out.
