Help Us Tell Your Story

A Call for Community Submissions

Toronto, the GTA, and Canada are vast and dynamic, home to countless Caribbean and Black-led organizations, businesses, institutions, and individuals doing important work every day. While Caribbean Camera remains deeply committed to covering our community, the reality is that no newsroom, especially one with limited resources, can be everywhere at once.

That is why we are asking for your help.

We invite organizations, corporations, community groups, faith institutions, schools, and individuals to keep us informed about what is happening in your world. Whether your organization is new or long-established, we want to hear from you.

Tell us about:

  • New initiatives or programs

  • Organizational changes or leadership appointments

  • Contracts won or major partnerships secured

  • New buildings, expansions, or relocations

  • Key hires and promotions

  • Graduations, scholarships, and academic achievements

  • Awards, milestones, and anniversaries

  • Community projects and events

In short, let us know what’s going on with you.

You do not need to have every detail finalized. Even a brief note or early information helps give us a head start on your story. Our editorial team is always happy to follow up, verify facts, and work with you to develop a complete and accurate article.

Our Editorial Commitment

Caribbean Camera is dedicated to supporting and documenting the lived experiences of the Caribbean community in Canada. We do not simply repackage news from Caribbean-based media outlets. We recognize that news from your island is best delivered by your country’s own media, and we respect that.

Our role is different—and essential.

We focus on Caribbean life in Canada: the people, institutions, businesses, and achievements shaping our communities here at home. Our reporting is produced by professional journalists, grounded in facts, and guided by responsible journalism, not speculation or slanted opinion.

When you share your news with Caribbean Camera, it reaches a readership that understands its context, values its significance, and supports the people behind it.

Why Your Submissions Matter

By sharing your news, you help:

  • Ensure Caribbean achievements in Canada are documented and celebrated

  • Strengthen community visibility and pride

  • Create an accurate historical record for future generations

  • Keep our community informed, connected, and engaged

Your story deserves to be told, and told properly.

How to Submit

Send your news tips, announcements, or story ideas to our editorial team.

  • A brief description of the news

  • Key dates and names

  • Contact information for follow-up

  • Photos (where possible)

Our editors will take it from there.
