Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley Inspires Active Citizenship During Toronto Visit

Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley wowed the crowd in Toronto during her recent visit to Canada on Saturday March 25. Mottley was in town to speak at the annual “Bring on the Spring” event, which is organized by the Barbados Canada Foundation. As the guest of honor and keynote speaker, she spoke about the importance of active citizenship not just in Canada, but also in supporting the Caribbean, particularly Barbados.

Mottley expressed her appreciation for the organization that hosted the event, acknowledging the over $90,000 raised for the hospital in Barbados and the current efforts to raise an additional $60,000 for the optical department. She also touched on the strong relationship between Canada and Barbados and the importance of continuing to strengthen it.
