Benches honour African-Canadians in the arts

A Different Booklist, in partnership with Habourfront Centre, unveiled 12 benches in honour of African-Canadians who are in the arts or are patrons of the arts. They include Sandra Whiting, Ayanna Black, Charles and Hetty Roach, Dr. Althea Prince, Salome Bey and Howard Matthews, Afropan Steelband, George Randolph, Austin Clarke, Kamala-Jean Gopie, Zanana Akande, Dr. Rita Cox and Dr. Pam Apelt.
