Brampton festivals cancelled through September due to COVID-19

BRAMPTON, All major City festivals, events, performances and community event permits for events at City facilities and performing arts centres, including The Rose, are cancelled until Labour Day on September 7, 2020, this will include Caribbean events like Jambana, in response to COVID-19. This extended cancellation is with guidance from the Brampton Emergency Management Office, Peel Public Health, and in alignment with neighbouring municipalities.

The City is committed to working with event organizers and rental clients to mitigate the impacts of these cancellations and to determine potential future dates in accordance with Peel Public Health. No new event bookings will be considered until there is further direction on large gatherings from the Ontario Government and Peel Public Health.

City Hall and most other City of Brampton facilities, including Recreation and Community Centres and Brampton Library branches, will remain closed until further notice to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
