Members of the Caribana Arts Group (CAG) met last Saturday at Metro Hall in Toronto to discuss a proposal put forward by the Festival Management Committee (FMC)  which has been running the Toronto  Carnival for the last ten years.

The Caribbean Camera has learned that the FMC  is proposing  that  both organizations – the CAG and the FMC  – get together to run the festival .

However, according to  a CAG insider, this proposal did not meet the approval  of several persons at the the meeting.

The Caribbean Camera tried to reach both the chairman and vice chairman of the CAG for comment

but phone calls were not returned.
