Call him Dr Bromley Armstrong

York University conferred an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree on Toronto civil and human rights activist Bromley Armstrong, who has been instrumental in reforms to Canada’s public policy on human rights. Armstrong was honoured with the degree in recognition of his tireless efforts in spearheading the passage of laws in Ontario prohibiting discrimination in housing and public places, and similar activism since he emigrated from Jamaica in 1947. The octogenarian is seen speaking to graduates at the 2013 Spring Convocation, June 11 morning.
