Toronto, Brampton, and Mississauga are set to become the epicentres of African and Caribbean creativity this June as AFROVISION X 2026, a month-long multidisciplinary cultural festival, prepares to launch. Running from June 1 to June 30, the event promises to highlight fashion, film, music, theatre, visual arts, and broader cultural exchange, positioning Africa’s creative economy prominently on the global stage.

Produced by Grandieu Inc., AFROVISION X 2026 will conclude with the prestigious AFROVISION X Awards Gala, recognising individuals, organisations, institutions, and brands driving growth in the global creative sector. Preparations are intensifying worldwide, and Nigeria officially begins its activation phase in January 2026 under the guidance of local partner Inspiro Productions.
The festival will bring together creatives, designers, musicians, filmmakers, artists, cultural institutions, governments, investors, brands, and diaspora communities from Africa, the Caribbean, and beyond. Nigeria, celebrated as a powerhouse of African creativity, is expected to play a central leadership role, with the festival coinciding with the global World Cup period, amplifying international attention.
The Nigerian activation will focus on stakeholder engagement, partnership mobilisation, sponsorship drives, creative community outreach, a Lagos press conference, and the release of official participation guidelines for artists, designers, filmmakers, musicians, performers, and exhibitors.
“AFROVISION X 2026 is committed to showcasing African and Caribbean creativity at world-class standards,” said David Bebiem, Lead Convener. “Nigeria is not just participating; it is leading while recognising those shaping the sector’s growth.” Ayoola Sadare, CEO of Inspiro Productions, added, “This festival is a global marketplace for Nigerian creativity. We are mobilising brands, creators, governments, and institutions to seize this opportunity fully.”
The festival opens on June 1 with a red-carpet “Journey Through Africa” ceremony featuring live performances, fashion previews, film trailers, curated art exhibitions, the AFROVISION X Anthem premiere, and fireworks. Fashion Week runs from June 3 to 7, the Film Festival from June 9 to 14, Arts and Theatre from June 16 to 20, and World Music Week from June 21 to 27, featuring Afrobeat, Reggae, Soca, and fusion performances, masterclasses, and a World Music Day parade.
AFROVISION X Awards Gala on June 30 will celebrate excellence across fashion, music, film, theatre, and the arts while recognising sponsors and patrons. The festival also serves as a cultural and economic bridge, fostering trade, tourism, and collaboration between Canada, Africa, and the Caribbean, with government representatives expected to sign MOUs supporting industry growth, job creation, and youth empowerment.
AFROVISION X 2026 is not just a festival; it is a global creative marketplace connecting continents, delivered by Grandieu Inc. in partnership with international stakeholders in some of the world’s most diverse cities.
