CARIBANA™ Arts Group (CAG) will be hosting its 2^nd annual “CARIBANA™ Flags & Colours 2013” on Saturday, July 13^th, 2013 at Yorkgate Mall located at Jane & Finch in Toronto. This event is youth-oriented focused on the education of children about the Carnival Arts & Culture. It concludes with a street parade on July 13^th, 2013.

CAG has appointed a CARIBANA™ Management Team (CMT) to organize this event. Its Artistic Director/Manager is Henry Gomez, with Monica Pollard as its Executive Assistant. The CMT will be hosting a press conference on Tuesday, June 18^th, 2013 at Yorkgate Mall.

2013 also marks the 10^th annual presentation of the “CARIBANA™/Yorkgate Mall Scholarships.” These scholarships are fully funded by Yorkgate Mall Administration with production assistance provided by: Seneca College; Metro Toronto Police Services (MTPS) – 31 Division; and CARIBANA™ Arts Group.

Scholarships are awarded to students selected from Toronto’s Wards 7, 8 and 9 to pursue their post-secondary education at Seneca College. The 2013 CARIBANA™/Yorkgate Mall Scholarship winners will be announced at “CARIBANA™ Flags & Colours 2013” press conference. Awarded scholarships will be up to $1000 per person to offset tuition fees at Seneca College. Submissions deadline: May 31^st, 2013 at 5pm.
