CBWC Offers Scholarships for Black Students in Ajax Pickering

CBWC scholarship deadline nears for Black grade 12 students

The Congress of Black Women of Canada – Ajax/Pickering Chapter is pleased to offer four $1,000 scholarships to graduating Grade 12 students who self-identify as Black and will be attending full-time post-secondary studies in the upcoming academic year. These annual awards aim to recognize students who demonstrate:

  • Strong academic achievement
  • Active involvement in community initiatives within Ajax and Pickering
  • Financial need.

Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the student’s post-secondary institution.

Founded in March 1996, is part of the Congress of Black Women of Canada, Ontario Region, a voluntary, non-profit organization. The chapter is made up of a dynamic group of women committed to advocating for Black women and their families.

The Ajax/Pickering Chapter is actively involved in creating and supporting programs and initiatives that enhance the well-being, health, and educational opportunities of Black communities in Ajax and Pickering.
