Couva Boys’ journey began in the fall of 2008 with the Brampton All Fours League (BAFL).
They persevered throughout the last eight years, finally capturing a Hat-trick win in the BAFL 2015-16 season. Couva Boys won their conference, the 2016 playoff finals, and the 2016 knock-out finals.
Couva Boys’ lucky charm Mary Jane Mason was successful in scoring 51 bullseyes in nine consecutive league games, their close win over B.O.L.T.S. in the 2016 playoffs 51-49 and their demolishing win over the Little Giants in the 2016 knock-out 51-30.
MVPs for the playoff finals were Steve Ramcharitar and Danny Siewdass leading Table 5 with 13 wins and a meagre six losses. MVPs for the knock-out finals were Natalie Lalan Singh and Roopan Ramsaroop who dominated with 15 wins and only gave up five losses.
Table 1 which included Captain Ryan Pittiman and Vice-Captain Dale Sirju achieved the best average over-all for the league.
Each member of Couva Boys individually chanted their way to victory. Cries of “When I call it, it sure” and “Where we come from, babies don’t cry” were heard throughout the playing area.
They played with integrity and for love of the game of All Fours. As a team, Couva Boys excel at quickly gaining the lead and maintaining that lead. They understand and support each other and never demean their opponents. They’re all heart!
The success of Couva Boys would not be possible without the sponsorship from Tint World and Classic Woodworking.
