Cricket stadium gets $7M boost

The Canadian Premier League T20 has secured funding to the tune of $700 million via private donations for construction of a 35,000-seat covered stadium dedicated to international cricket.
It’s the first purpose-built covered facility for cricket in the world and would boast a natural grass field.
The league is seeking a location in Brampton, Markham or sites in Toronto.
