Durham Region’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) division extends a warm invitation to members of the Caribbean community and all residents to actively participate in shaping the region’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Durham Region, known for its rich tapestry of cultures, experiences, and backgrounds, recognizes the unique perspectives and experiences that each resident brings to the table. Whether you have recently arrived in the region or have deep roots here, your voice is invaluable as we work to develop equity-focused strategies and programs.

From November 1 to December 2, you have the opportunity to engage by completing a survey or attending an in-person or virtual session, all conveniently accessible at durham.ca/DEI-Plans.

At the core of this initiative is the belief that every individual should feel a profound sense of belonging and be empowered to engage fully in their community. Durham Region is fully committed to identifying and dismantling any barriers that hinder participation, ensuring that its facilities, programs, and services are accessible, equitable, and reflective of the region’s vibrant diversity. Your involvement during this consultation period will ensure that your unique perspectives are incorporated into the region’s future plans and activities.
