Last weekend the Durham Community Action Group, along with the Durham ACES Association, held another food distribution service for the Black community.  This time they handed out food to deserving community members at Club Carib in Oshawa. They attracted about 125 families who got the opportunity to obtain high quality food such as three different types of grapes, carrots, potatoes, peas, beans, tomatoes, bread, baby food and even ice-cream.

Gloria Small of the DCAG informed the Caribbean Camera that they will be doing another food distribution in two weeks because “the need in the community is great, and we are one of the groups in Durham who are working hard to help members of our Durham community…we will be back at Club Carib again.”

In attendance was Catherine Mosca, the liberal candidate for Oshawa. She was hand to help distribute food to several families. On April 30th Mosca will officially launch her first fundraiser as the liberal representative for Oshawa the fundraiser will be held at Club Carib. One of the finest exponents of calypso music, Ajax-based David Rudder, will be on hand to perform.
