Family members from  Canada, the United States, England and Barbados got together in Trinidad on Sunday to celebrate the 100th birthday of Viola Rochester-Doyle.

In picture, Mrs. Rochester-Doyle with her son, Eddison, former Chief Financial Officer of the Festival Management Committee (FMC) which has been running the Toronto Caribbean Carnival for the last ten years, and Eddison’s granddaughter, Kaira, who was also celebrating her ninth birthday.

The picture was taken at the Oasis Garden Terrace in the southern city of  San Fernando.

Mrs. Rochester-Doyle is the mother of four children, 16 grandchildren, 33 great grand children and 20 great great grandchilden.

Asked for her secret to a long life, she said:” Love God. live for Him, eat well, get good sleep and no stress.”
