Fantazia, a renowned carnival band, recently launched their junior band at a well-attended event in Scarborough. Led by dedicated section leaders Joan, Sherry, and Lisa, the presentation featured four sections. With an estimated participation of 90 to 100 children, Fantazia ensured accessibility by offering reasonably priced costumes.

The theme for this year’s portrayal, “Odds N Oddities,” was developed by Lisa Morton for both the adult and junior sections. Co-band leader Will Morton expressed excitement about the new theme and the team’s enthusiasm. Fantazia has consistently delivered top-class mas for carnival over its fourteen-year history.

The mas camp on Production Drive in Scarborough provided ample space for creativity and production, surpassing the previous year’s limitations. Witnessing the children donning their costumes was a delightful experience, with the crowd thoroughly enjoying the spectacle and appreciating the hard work invested.

The junior sections were named Phoenix, Winx Cosmos, Mini Danxis, and Mermaid, adding to the excitement of the event. Fantazia’s launch of the junior band exemplifies their dedication and creative prowess.
