Four men charged with murder of Grenadian teen

Four men have been charged with first-degree murder  in the death of  Grenada-born  Jarryl Hagley,17, who was shot in a restaurant in Toronto’s west end last October.

Last  Thursday, two suspects, Winston Poyser, 24, and Shakiyl Shaw, 23, both of Toronto, were arrested  by Toronto police and charged with the murder of Hagley.

The following day, two other men  – Lenneil Shaw, 23, and Mohamed Ali Nur, 18, both of Toronto ,surrendered to police.  They were also charged with the murder of the teenager.

Hagley, who would have turned 18 on Jan. 1, was eating in pizza outlet with friends when gunmen entered the  restaurant and started firing in his direction.

He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

More than half a dozen  persons were in the restaurant at the time of the shooting but no one else  was hurt in the incident.

Hagley who was living with relatives in Toronto, came to Canada more than ten years ago.
