Guyana continues to lead in WICB PCL

Guyana Jaguars maintained their lead in the WICB Four-Day Professional Cricket League after recording their third win against Trinidad & Tobago Red Force by an inning and 60 runs last Monday at Queen’s Park Oval.

Scores were: T&T Red Force 198 and 234; Guyana Jaguars 492 for eight wickets declared with skipper Vishal Singh who was named Man-of-the-Match for his maiden first-class century of 141 runs.

Jamaica also registered their third win after defeating Leeward Islands Hurricanes by four wickets at Sabina Park.

Scores were: Leeward Islands 103 and 313; Jamaica 222 and 195 for six wickets.

Meanwhile, Barbados Pride snatched victory from the Windward Islands Volcanoes by 11 runs in a thrilling encounter at the Arnos Vale Ground in St. Vincent.

Scores were: Barbados 352 for nine wickets and 128; Windward Islands 274 and 195.

The points standing at the end of the fourth round is Guyana 57 points; Jamaica 50; Barbados 44; Windward Islands 26; T & T Red Force 23 and Leeward Islands 10.

The Four- Day Franchise will break for the Christmas holidays and resume with the Nagico Super50 tournament starting from Jan. 15. The Four-Day format continues with the fifth round on Feb. 6.
