Hate flyer found at York U.

Racist flyers being circulated in Brampton and causing alarm in the South Asian community have now wended their way to York University. The flyers have since been removed.

The flyer is entitled The Changing Demography of York U. and say that if “mass third world immigration continues Canadians will be reduced to a persecuted minority not only at York, but in their own country! It doesn’t have to be this way!”

According to the Toronto Star, the anti-immigration flyer with York University logo displays two photos of York sports teams, one black and white and showing white men only, while the second more recent picture shows students of various ethnicities.

York notified the group whose name appeared on the flyer, Immigration Watch Canada, to cease and desist from using the university’s logo and photographs.

However, Immigration Watch said they did not authorize the use of that flyer at York.

Toronto Police are investigating.
