Jamaica Summer Games comes to Ashbridges Bay

TORONTO, CANADA – The Jamaica Summer Games and Wellness Festival will bring a real taste of Jamaica to Ashbridges Bay Beach August 17-18, 2019.  This family-friendly weekend is a unique blend of music, sport, culture, health & wellness and distinctly Jamaican entertainment.

During this action-packed weekend, event-goers can participate in a wide range of health and wellness activities, including yoga on the beach with Power Yoga Canada, a wellness talk series, and fun beach sports such as beach volleyball, beach tennis, beach soccer, beach frisbee, pickleball, tennis and squash. All sports competition registrants will be placed in a draw for a chance to win a trip to Jamaica, courtesy of Jamaica Tourist Board, WestJet and Palladium Hotels.

Attendees can also enjoy the delicious flavours of Jamaica at the Caribbean market, and the sounds of the island at the Beach Party, where local DJ Spex Da Boss will spin Reggae and Dancehall at our Saturday Beach Party from 6:00-10:00pm.

The Jamaica Summer Games boasts well-known celebrity ambassadors, including: Daniel Nestor, Tennis Champion, Jonathon Power, Canadian Squash Champion, Nick Kypreos, former Toronto Maple Leaf and Hockey Analyst on Sportsnet and Hockey Night in Canada, Dwayne De Rosario, Canadian Pro Soccer Player, Jana Webb, JOGA Creator, Ivana Krunic – Health and Fitness Expert and Amazing Race Canada Finalist.

Competition registrants will be making a difference, as proceeds will go to help support Helping Hands Jamaica’s 25th school build.
