Janet Jackson has chosen Canada to kick off her first world tour after a break of four years.
She is scheduled for an early stop in her Unbreakable World Tour at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Sept. 15 after kicking off the show Aug. 31 in Vancouver at Rogers Arena. Next is a stint at Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome on Sept. 2 and two days later, Edmonton’s Rexall Place will come alive with her performance.
The singer, songwriter and nascent record label owner will also perform in Grand Prairie, Saskatoon and Winnipeg.
The Unbreakable tour will have 35 shows. Tickets go on sale Monday, June 22.
Jackson last toured in 2011, spending most of the year on the 80-show tour performing her No. 1 hits.
