Jesse Jones, who was born in Canada to Jamaican parents Allen and Denice Jones, became the first Black host of the hit series that hit the airways last Sunday on CityTV where the 26 Romantic Hopefuls singles will strut their stuff.

The show is filmed at Lakeside Love Nest for the inaugural season of Bachelor in Paradise. This is a part of the Fall lineup on Citytv, which is gearing up for a Canadian summer of love.

The network revealed that the program will feature romantic hopefuls looking for another chance at love. Camp Paradise officially got underway last Sunday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Citytv and

Hosted by Jesse Jones and featuring Bachelor alumni Kevin Wendt as bartender, Bachelor in Paradise Canada airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT. It follows some of North America’s most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes as they explore new relationships in their secluded love nest on the lake where their only job is to soak up the summer sun; cozy up by the campfire; frolic in the water; take long romantic canoe rides under the vast Canadian star-filled sky… and, of course, fall in love.

Jones told the Caribbean Camera that “this takes the Jones & Jones brand to a higher place; and I am so happy to work with the people at Citytv and Rogers because they do things right. It’s great to be involve with a great company and a great franchise like the Bachelor in Paradise.”

Bachelor in Paradise Canada is the Canadian version of the perennially successful Bachelor in Paradise franchise, which is currently in its 7th season on Citytv.
