Kempinski Hotels will extend its presence in Cuba with the Gran Hotel Bristol, slated to open by the end of 2019. The hotel will mark its second property in Havana and its third property in Cuba.

The new Havana property is located one block from the Capitolio and two blocks from the Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski, which opened two years ago.
The Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski, a resort in Cayo Guillermo on the island’s north coast, will open soon. However, the Gran Hotel Manzana and the Cayo Guillermo Resort were both placed on the U.S. Department of State’s list of restricted entities, which prohibits U.S. travelers from staying there.
The Gran Hotel Bristol is a restoration of a landmark building and former hotel. The original facade of the building has been maintained, but the interior is laid out in a contemporary design.
The hotel will have 162 rooms and suites, five restaurants and bars, a gym and a rooftop infinity pool.
