KI, 3Veni ready to warm up Toronto

It’s the first big band to hit Toronto after Trinidad Carnival, and cross-over superband JMC 3Veni is promising a show that will delight the entire family when it hits the stage at the Double Tree Hotel on March 23.

Featuring the fastest rising artist in the history of chutney soca, KI, Jmc 3veni promises to give a splendid performance doing all their hits from Catch Meh Lovah, to Friends for the Night, KI’s follow up song to his 2k12 mega hit, Single Forever, in the show being presented by DJ Riyad.

KI, the youngest Chutney Soca Monarch will be joining the Queen of Chutney, Drupatee Ramgoonai who will be performing her classics as well as her newest song Indian Gyal, which was a collaboration with Machel Montano. Also on the cast will be frontline singer of the band Nishard M doing his own repertoire, Ranjeev Ramdeen of New York, Rex Mohan of Guyana (the voice of the late Sundar Popo), Sabrina, as well as Tassa. This family event will be the first concert in Toronto following Carnival 2k13, and is part of a whirlwind tour the band has been engaged in since T&T carnival in February.

The band is coming to Toronto straight from Guyana, where it performed before a sold out audience during Mashramani.

KI was recently awarded with many prestigious titles including, “Crossover Artist of the Year,” “Entertainer of the Year,” and “Song of the Year,” for Single Forever. He is inviting all his fans to come and enjoy a night of music and fun, and will be available to sign autographs and take pictures with his younger fans.

After the Toronto show, 3Veni will be heading to Tobago for the jazz festival there, and will then embark on its official 2013 North American tour, which will take them to New York, Miami and Toronto for Carnival.
