Los Angeles, California, Kruse GWS Auctions, renowned for its record-breaking auctions of entertainment memorabilia, fine jewelry, and royal artifacts, has announced the “Artifacts of Hollywood & Music” auction. Scheduled for March 30, 2024, at 7:00 a.m. PST, the event promises an extraordinary collection of memorabilia from music legends like Elvis Presley, Prince, and Taylor Swift, alongside Hollywood treasures from the career of Richard Roundtree, the iconic “Shaft.”

Richard Roundtree

Elvis Presley’s memorabilia, highly sought after for its cultural significance and investment value, will be a highlight. Items include a receipt for Priscilla’s wedding ring set, a signed 1956 songwriters contract, an army discharge letter, a chair from Elvis’ Hillcrest Home, and gold tribute albums.

The auction also features rare items from other music icons, such as Prince’s Purple Rain Tour Tambourine, Taylor Swift’s dresses from Access Hollywood and the Speak Now Tour, and Waylon Jennings’ music video guitar. Hollywood memorabilia includes Audrey Hepburn’s Ralph Lauren leather gloves and Marilyn Monroe’s clip-on earrings.

A special section is dedicated to Richard Roundtree, Hollywood’s first action hero of color. Known for his role as “Shaft,” Roundtree’s collection includes personal jewelry, fashions, and career artifacts. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Project Row Houses, a charity supporting art and cultural identity in urban landscapes.
