Mixed fortunes for touring Trinidad girl’s high school team

A Trinidad and Tobago Secondary Schools Cricket League (T&TSSCL) team had mixed fortunes so far on the their tour of Canada, winning one match and losing two.
In their opening match last Saturday at Mavis ground in Mississauga, the T&TSSCL  team were beaten badly by Ontario Cricket Academy (OCA) while on the same day they succumbed to another heavy defeat in  their match against the Mississauga Women’s Cricket League side.
On Saturday, Harkara Mann led the way for OCA with 73 not out while Emanuel Khokhar supported brilliantly with 58 to be the star players in the 40-over match.

In the second match -15 overs per side  – against the Mississauga girls, Janelle Noel  of the T&TSSCL  team scored 23.

On Monday, the touring team rebounded, whipping their same opponents also at Mavis  ground by 77 runs.

In the  20-overs match, Rohina Boyce showed terrific form with the bat, hitting an enterprising 54 to top-score for T&TSSCL team.

The Trinidadian players are being coached by former West Indies cricketer Stephanie Power.Their tour ends on Monday.
