So you want to hit the beach and have a fete? Welcome to SOS FEST.

The Wild Water Kingdom Savannah area (not the water park) at 7855 Finch Ave, W., Brampton, is the place to be Saturday (May 30) at a family event with Machel Montato, the entire band and lots more.

A festival organizer told The Camera that “Toronto needs a mega event like this. We have even created a brand-new website just for this event.”

There will be Caribbean vibes with palm trees and a water truck. Asked if that will be a big truck, the organizer teased, “That’s a surprise. But I can tell you what – come prepared to hold on to a big truck and wine and guh down and …”

He said they have been looking at the Toronto scene and from the trend there is nothing social and Caribbean relating to an event of this stature – the other events are about goods or fashion and not talent driven.

“So we reached out to these mega artists, got the right venue and are all set to do it like a boss – an annual event bigger and better through the years.”

He added that along with Montano and his band will be Kes the Band, Ravi B and Karma, Kerwin Du Bois and Farmer Nappy, Angela Hunte, Skinny Fabulous, Logun and host T REXXX.

So the countdown is on: 11, 10,.etc. days away.
