Now You See Me: Now You Don’t 3’ is stylish, funny, and full of twists

Well, maybe it should be retitled The Five Horsemen… Plus! The third film in the franchise, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t 3, brings back the magic, misdirection, and global chaos we’ve come to love, with a few new faces and one knockout twist ending that rivals the original.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer and co-written by Seth Grahame-Smith and Michael Lesslie, the film reunites Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, and Lizzy Caplan as the Four Horsemen. Now joined by a younger generation of illusionists: Justice Smith, Ariana Greenblatt, and Dominic Sessa. Together, they take on Rosamund Pike’s Veronika Vanderberg, a diamond-hoarding heiress tied to a global arms and money-laundering network.
The setup is familiar. The Eye calls the Horsemen out of retirement for “one new mission.” The twist? It’s not just another caper, but a full-blown test of legacy. Can the masters of illusion pass the torch without losing the magic?

The returning cast fits comfortably back into their roles: Eisenberg’s fast-talking Atlas still commands attention, Harrelson’s comedic antics Merritt get big laughs, and Franco’s no door is ever truly locked Jack seems unsure of his life and its direction. Fisher’s Henley brings energy to the sequel, sorely missed, and Caplan’s Lula brings back her charm. The newcomers inject a youthful flair and unbending defiance into the mix. The Horsemen may see themselves in the three possible new Horsemen who hold energy. Smith’s Charlie has charisma, Greenblatt’s June adds grit, and Sessa’s Bosco keeps things unpredictable. Rosamund Pike elevates the film. Her icy villainy delivers real menace to a franchise that often leans on charm over chills.
Where Now You See Me 3 shines is in its set pieces — sweeping global locations, slick heists, and optical illusions that play like live-action magic shows. Although some CGI-heavy effects strain believability, the film never stops entertaining.
If there’s a downside, it’s story clutter, too many Horsemen, not enough depth. The emotional beats don’t land as sharply as before. Fans of the franchises, the Horsemen ride still dazzles and entertains.
Final verdict: 7/10! Stylish, funny, and full of twists. It may not reinvent the trick, but it reminds us why we love watching it. Sometimes, the real magic is in the reveal.
“Let the cards fly, let the tricks dazzle, and remember: sometimes the real magic is in the reveal.”
