Event founder and conceptualizer, Yasus Afari stated, “We aim to bring together thousands of music lovers from the United States and other regions for the OLF, which will be an eclectic, one-day-and-night music festival offering a holistic cultural experience, celebrating the vibrant life and soul of Jamaica.”

Afari emphasized that the One Love Festival is designed to provide a safe and inspirational space for both local and international Jamaican music enthusiasts, as well as people from the Diaspora, to come together, celebrate, and embrace the message of “One Love.”

“In keeping with our motto, ‘One Earth, One Love, One Humanity,’ which echoes the spirit of Jamaica’s national pledge, this festival will be a place of unity and joy,” Afari added.

The festival will kick off with an innovative opening ceremony, welcoming local and international celebrity guests, special delegations from abroad, sponsors, dignitaries, and other prominent figures. Afari said this will be followed by the main event, a live band music showcase titled the “One Love Festival 2025 show,” featuring a stellar lineup of national and international performers, all delivering “clean, intelligent reggae music.”

Confirmed performers for the festival include iconic singer Ken Boothe, Bushman, Junior Toots, Anslom from Papua New Guinea, Brian Holt, Nkechi (the Black Goddess), Yasus Afari & All Star Drummers, and the Step by Step Band, among others.

The daytime portion of the festival promises an array of engaging activities, including Breakfast at Sunrise, Beach Yoga, and The Reasoning Temple – The Cultural Needle Eye. Attendees can also enjoy a display from the Jamaica Music Museum, Intergenerational Health and Wealth Creation sessions, Integrated Arts Workshops, water sports, and a Celebrity Lunch. Additionally, a Food and Nutrition Demo/Tasting will highlight Jamaica’s rich culinary traditions.

The University of the West Indies’ Jamaica Language Unit will also host a “Patwa Taakin” session, featuring music ranging from Ska and reggae to dancehall, and ending with a Supper at Sunset, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the full scope of Jamaica’s culture and heritage.

With its blend of music, culture, wellness, and education, the One Love Festival 2025 is set to be an unforgettable celebration of Jamaica’s vibrant spirit, attracting both tourists and locals alike.
