“Our diversity is our biggest strength,” declared Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, in a message delivered at the Impact Awards on November 20 last.
The message, read by Jasse McDonald, “official voice of the Impact Awards,” noted that organizations such as The Caribbean Camera and the Black Indigenous Business Development Association that recognize the incredible achievements and contributions of Caribbean and Black Canadians, bring people together, and encourage them to celebrate their diversity, “truly deserve the utmost praise.”
Trudeau went on to thank both The Caribbean Camera and the Black Indigenous Business Development Association “for taking the initiative to create these awards and for recognizing some outstanding members of their community.”
In congratulating the awardees, he noted that their achievements, compassion, knowledge, skills, and talent “are inspirations for all.”
“I hope that this event gives you the opportunity to take a well-deserved moment of self-recognition for all that you have done and achieved. Please accept my deepest gratitude for everything that you do for your community and your country,” he told them.

Trudeau also thanked “all in attendance” at the IMPACT Awards “for coming out to be a part of this special day.”
