
Anthony Joseph, president and publisher-editor of The Caribbean Camera, has been selected as the 2017 recipient of the award for Excellence in Media by the African Canadian Achievement Awards (ACAA) organization of Toronto.
The selection committee of the ACAA chose Joseph for the award for the ” achievements and accomplishments he has attained” as president and publisher of The Caribbean Camera newspaper and ” for his services and contribution to the Caribbean-Canadian, Black-Canadian and African-Canadian communities, and to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) , Ontario and Canada.”
He will receive the award at the ACAA organization’s 32nd annual gala at the Jane Mallett Theatre, (inside the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts), 27 Front Street, East, in Toronto on Saturday February 25.
The ACAA, established in June, 1985, has recognised and paid tribute to over 400 high-achieving African Canadians.
