Canadian band Magic joins acts like David ‘King David’ Nieves and I-Sasha at Reggae on the Bay on Saturday in Trinidad and Tobago.

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago – Hennessy Artistry’s Reggae on the Bay will feature a slate of powerful singers from Trinidad and Tobago who will rep the 868 alongside some of the world’s biggest acts.

I-Sasha, King David, Queen Omega, Levi Myaz, Freetown Collective and rising local hip-hop artist Inzey will star alongside headliners Damian ‘Junior Gong’ Marley, Born Jamericans, Protoje and Canadian reggae group Magic on Saturday (Oct. 31) for what will be undoubtedly be the biggest Reggae on the Bay (ROTB) to date, a media release said.

Coming off a high-profile political season in which his song for the People’s National Movement Let’s Do This swept the nation by storm, I-Sasha will be the leading the local charge at ROTB.

One of T&T’s premiere reggae voices, I-Sasha is known for unforgettable hits such as Don’t You Know, Who Jah Bless and I Know Jah which he sang with Million Voice.

Standing shoulder to shoulder with I-Sasha is David ‘King David’ Nieves, another artist who uses his positive lyrics to uplift downtrodden communities with songs such as Oh Laventille, Sea Lots and Life.

The son of the late Richard ‘Nappy’ Myers, Levi Myaz is a strong upholder of positive reggae in T&T. He has opened for the likes of Everton Blender, Jah Mason, Gyptian, Jah Cure and Capleton and has performed in various parts of the U.S. and Europe.

Myaz is known for songs such as Word, Power and Sound, Every Move and a remake of his father’s hit song Ole Time Days.

The lone woman on the cast, Jeneil Osbourne aka Queen Omega, is a powerhouse on the reggae circuit.

With songs such as Make a Sacrifice, Judgement and Highest High, the Queen of Reggae has collaborated with the likes of Capleton, Sizzla and Anthony B and performed alongside the who’s who in reggae.

The versatile local cast also includes the musical might of Freetown Collective. Comprising Muhammad Muwakil, Lou Lyons and their three soulful backup singers, Freetown is known for soul-stirring and thought-provoking songs such as Me on my TV, Jerusalem, Represent and Time Will Tell.

Opening for Junior Gong will be Jaundis-I, the Rock / Reggae outfit headed by rocker Nigel Rojas and his brother Nicholas.

The four-member group also includes Robert Bedon and Arthur Reid. Jaundis-I, known for songs such as Self Defiance, Prayer and Broken Promise reunited on Boxing Night last year and recently completed a performance at the Boomtown Festival in England.

The lone hip-hop artist on the cast, Inzey has been a rising star on the music circuit, engaging fans with his energetic performances and original lyrics in songs such as King’s Temper and Loner.

Inzey has collaborated with the likes of Christian Kalpee and Mark Hardy and is hailed by many as the artiste to watch. He will be at Reggae on the Bay with his band Dopeskis.

Hennessy Artistry’s Reggae on the Bay is staged courtesy of Hennessy in collaboration with Digicel and will be hosted by Leah Marville. It will be staged at Hasely Crawford Stadium with showtime at 7 p.m.
