The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently revealed that the renowned Grammy-winning artist Sean Paul and soca sensation Kees Dieffenthaller will collaborate to produce the official anthem for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, set to be held in the West Indies and the US.
With just under 50 days until the tournament kicks off on June 1st, Cricket West Indies has shared that the anthem production is in full swing. Michael “Tano” Montano is overseeing the anthem’s creation, with a planned launch in the upcoming weeks alongside a music video featuring appearances from various superstar guests.
Sean Paul, known for his contributions to Jamaican dancehall and philanthropy, expressed his honor at being involved in crafting the T20 World Cup’s official anthem, emphasizing the blend of Caribbean flair and international appeal the track will embody.
Kees Dieffenthaller, frontman of Kes the Band from Trinidad and Tobago, echoed the sentiment of unity and excitement for the collaboration, noting the power of merging cricket with music to create a universal celebration.
