Six Brampton schools to receive awards at launch of Mayor’s Cricket Program 2018

Six  schools in the city of Brampton will receive awards on Monday at the launch of the Mayor’s School Cricket Program 2018.

Joining Mayor Linda Jeffery at the launch at Brampton City Hall will be  Helen Berhane, Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)  which has organized the school cricket program, and Jeffrey Orridge, senior vice-president, community and partnerships, Canadian Tire Corporation.

This year which marks the eighth anniversary of the cricket program,  about 40 schools in Brampton will compete for the Canadian Tire Trophy.

The  following schools will receive awards at Monday’s launch of the 2018 program:

Champions 2017

Castlebrook Secondary school

Cheyne  Middle School

Hilldale Public School


Runners-Up 2017

North Park Secondary School

Springbrook Public School

Nelson Mandela Public School
