Toronto Police are appealing to the public for assistance with their investigation into the murder last Friday of John Trevor Paul, 32, a St. Lucia-born man who was shot in the Sheridan Mall in Toronto.
Paul who lived in Toronto, was the second victim of a fatal shooting in the mall within a month.
Emergency services personnel who arrived on the scene of the shooting last Friday evening, located a man at the rear of the mall ” with obvious trauma, ” said a news release from the Toronto Police service.
The man was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, the release added.
Paul was reported to have been in company with friends in a parking lot behind the mall when a vehicle approached the group.
There was then an altercation which ended with the shooting, police said.
Police have released security camera images of three suspects and a suspect vehicle.

On September 1 last, another black man was fatally shot in the Sheridan Mall.
So far police have made no arrests in connection with that incident.
