With less than 30 days until the U.S. presidential election, 25-time Grammy winner Stevie Wonder has dedicated ten nights to campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris, the first Black woman to run for the nation’s highest office. This mini tour aims to raise awareness about the significance of this historic milestone and the potential consequences for Black Americans if Harris loses to former President Donald Trump.
The tour, themed “Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart,” will focus on crucial battleground states in the Midwest and South. Kicking off on October 8 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the tour will make its way to Madison Square Garden just two days later.
Wonder has emphasized the urgency of the moment, stating that it is vital to engage disenchanted and angry citizens. He highlighted the importance of this election as a pivotal moment in history, encouraging people to take action and be able to tell future generations about their involvement.

This initiative marks another instance of Wonder stepping into the political arena. Previously, he strongly endorsed Barack Obama during his campaign for the presidency and advocated for a national holiday in honour of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Throughout his career, Wonder has used his platform to address social injustices, making numerous visits to the United Nations and voicing his opinions through music and public statements.
Fans fondly remember Wonder’s support for Nelson Mandela during the anti-apartheid movement. He famously boycotted performances in Florida when a Republican governor banned Mandela from appearing in the state, an action that prompted the NAACP to withdraw support for events in Florida as well.
In a recent appearance at the Democratic National Convention, Wonder urged delegates and viewers to “go vote,” solidifying his role as a key advocate for civic engagement. He has released a new single, “Can We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Hearts?” which reflects the theme of his tour and has received substantial airplay on progressive radio stations.
Wonder’s campaign tour not only serves as a call for political action but also promotes joy, kindness, and peace. As a gesture of appreciation, he plans to distribute complimentary tickets to deserving fans who are actively working to address community issues.
The concert schedule includes performances in Philadelphia on October 12, Baltimore on October 15, Greensboro on October 17, and Atlanta on October 19, among others. The final concert will take place on October 30 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, just days before Election Day.
