As the The Caribbean Children Foundation (TCCF) prepares to celebrate their 14th Anniversary Angel Gala at the Elite Banquet Halls on Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m., they can continue to smile knowing they have just donated $50,000 to Sick Kids’ Herbie Fund.

TCCF participated during the recent Walk for Children event hosted by CTV’s Gord Matineau to raise money for the Herbie Fund.

TCCF collaborates with the Herbie Fund in that each medical case with charges in excess of $25,000 is covered by the fund. The foundation continues to make a difference, with more than 67 critically ill Caribbean children assisted so far. TCCF has raised and paid out more than $1.3 million.

Jay Brijpaul, president of TCCF, said, “Thanks to the goodwill and generosity of all who are making a difference in the lives our beloved children.”

He noted that TCCF’s primary health partner is the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children but its charter allows it to seek care for children at other institutions.

The Herbie Fund works in collaboration with Sick Kids Hospital to provide the highest quality life-altering surgeries to children who do not have access to such services in their home countries. The fund has helped over 600 children in over 88 countries around the world to date.
