TNTAO marks 50 years with ‘Mind Yu Business’ Expo
The Trinidad & Tobago Association of Ontario (TNTAO) will celebrate a major milestone this year with its 50th anniversary, highlighted by the staging of its “Mind Yu Business” Expo, a community-focused trade show set for Saturday, March 28.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lions Banquet Hall, 45 Avondale Blvd., in Brampton, bringing together entrepreneurs, artists and community members for a full day of cultural and commercial engagement.
TNTAO vice-president Alpha King said the response from the business community has been strong, with more than 20 vendors already confirmed to participate.
“This is about celebrating business, culture and the community,” King said, noting that the expo is designed to showcase Caribbean entrepreneurship while creating opportunities for networking and growth.
Attendees can expect a lively mix of local vendors, Caribbean cuisine and a “Taste of Trinidad & Tobago,” alongside opportunities to connect with businesses and community organizations from across the Greater Toronto Area.
The event will open with a formal ceremony at 11 a.m., featuring an opening prayer and the Trinidad & Tobago national anthem.
Entertainment will run throughout the day, anchored by live steelpan music from Mickey Maharaj. Scheduled performances include vocalist Liane Stemmler at 1 p.m., spoken word artist Desiree McKenzie at 2 p.m., calypsonian Princess Trinidad at 3 p.m., and entertainer Gavin Williamson at 4 p.m.
Organizers say the expo reflects TNTAO’s longstanding commitment to community building, cultural preservation and economic empowerment in Ontario.
