The Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA), in partnership with the Black Creek Community Health Centre (BCCHC), is hosting a high-energy community celebration in honour of fathers and father figures across the Greater Toronto Area.

The free event, titled “To Dad with Love,” will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Jamaican Canadian Centre, 995 Arrow Road, Toronto.

This family-friendly celebration is designed to uplift, honour, and support fathers while promoting wellness, cultural pride, and community connection.

Attendees can expect a rich blend of activities and services, including health screenings (for blood pressure, diabetes, and foot care), free massage therapy and barbering, and informative panel discussions on men’s health, parenting, and legacy building.

Cultural entertainment will be provided by some of the city’s top Caribbean and gospel artists, including Rayzalution, Canada’s only all-female reggae band, alongside powerhouse performers Mel C, Kay Morris, Marcia Brown and Dianne James.

For younger guests, the event offers a children’s corner, games, giveaways, and food samples. The day is supported by a host of community and corporate sponsors, including Grace Foods, CAFCAN, African Food Basket, JN Bank, JN Money, the Carpenters Union, and others who bring essential resources to the celebration.

“This Father’s Day, we want to celebrate the strength, resilience, and love of our fathers and father figures,” said Dr. Sylvanus Thompson. “We’re creating a joyful, safe space where families can connect and access culturally relevant healthcare while enjoying great music and togetherness.”

Open to all and free of charge, “To Dad with Love” promises a memorable mix of health, heritage, and heartfelt appreciation.
