Reggae Sumfest 2025 just raised the stakes. Organizers have confirmed that Grammy-winning R&B icon Toni Braxton will headline International Night 2 on Saturday, July 19, capping off the annual weeklong festival with a soulful flourish in Montego Bay.
Festival producer Joe Bogdanovich, visibly upbeat, called Braxton’s inclusion “a bold new chapter” for the festival and a clear indication of its expanding global appeal.

“Toni’s soul-drenched vocals and timeless hits introduce a different kind of emotional gravity,” Bogdanovich said. “It’s a bold move that expands the festival’s appeal while staying true to its roots.”
With a catalogue that includes enduring hits like “Un-Break My Heart,” “Breathe Again,” and “He Wasn’t Man Enough,” Braxton is expected to bring a distinctive blend of sultry soul and emotional depth to a festival that has traditionally leaned toward high-energy dancehall and reggae performances.
Bogdanovich emphasized that her presence will provide a compelling contrast to the rest of the lineup, creating “a moment” that stands out both musically and emotionally.

International Night 1 is equally stacked, with Vybz Kartel, also known as the “World Boss,” and dancehall’s lyrical dynamo Masicka confirmed to perform. Masicka’s inclusion, according to Bogdanovich, speaks to the evolving artistry within the genre.
“Masicka represents the intellectual core of modern dancehall,” he said. “His lyrical precision, storytelling ability, and conscious approach place him at the forefront of the genre’s new wave. Whether he’s delivering street anthems or introspective tracks, he commands the stage with a confidence and clarity that elevate every performance.”
Rounding out the night’s energy is Skeng, whose growing popularity and intense performances have made him one of the most buzzed-about names in the Jamaican music scene.
“Skeng brings an unfiltered, kinetic energy that embodies the raw edge of the streets,” Bogdanovich said. “He is the sound of youthful rebellion, his music echoing with the intensity of life in today’s Jamaica.”

Also generating excitement is Ghanaian Afro-fusion artist Moliy, who joins the 2025 roster amid the surge of African musical influence in global pop and Caribbean genres. Her breakout hit “Shake It To The Max” has become a dance-floor staple across Jamaica.
New York-based Jamaican publicist and entertainment consultant Anthony “ER Guru” Turner praised the festival’s curatorial boldness, especially in featuring Moliy.
“Moliy’s confirmation signals the festival’s embrace of Afrobeat sounds and highlights the shared roots of African and dancehall music,” said Turner. “Reggae Sumfest 2025 will be more than just a showcase of talent — it will be a celebration of cultural convergence.”
This year’s Reggae Sumfest runs from July 13–19, featuring live performances, parties, panels, and cultural exhibitions that cement its status as one of the most significant and influential Caribbean music festivals in the world.
With Braxton headlining, Kartel commanding attention, and artists like Skeng, Masicka, and Moliy pushing the genre’s boundaries, Reggae Sumfest 2025 is poised to deliver its most dynamic and diverse edition yet.
