EPIC Cruise Takes Toronto Revellers to Carnival

This January, Celena Seusahai and a few members of Tribal Carnival will sail into Trinidad Carnival in true Epic style as they board the Epic Carnival Cruise from Puerto Rico to Port of Spain, living on the ship while coming ashore to play mas with “Poporatsi”.

When the Epic Carnival Cruise docks in Port of Spain this January, Seusahai won’t just be arriving, she’ll be stepping off her floating hotel on Carnival Monday, February 16, to join the festivities.

Seusahai, CEO of Tribal Carnival, is trading the snow-covered streets of Toronto for the blue seas of Port of Spain, and she is inviting Toronto revellers to join her on a Carnival cruise to the world-famous Trinidad and Tobago Carnival. Seusahai, Carnival Queen of Toronto Bands three times, will ride the annual Epic Carnival Cruise into Port of Spain and hit the road on Carnival Monday, February 16, to jump up with Paparazzi Carnival Mas and be part of Trinidad Carnival 2026.

“I’ve done Trinidad Carnival before, but never like this,” Seusahai told the Caribbean Camera. “This time, I’m heading there on the Epic Carnival Cruise — the ultimate way to experience the road and the ocean all in one.”

The Epic Carnival Cruise sails aboard the Royal Caribbean ship Rhapsody of the Seas, leaving from San Juan, Puerto Rico, stopping in Trinidad for Carnival, then cruising back to Tobago for a beach party before returning to San Juan to end the cruise. This year’s Carnival starts with the parade on Monday, February 16, 2026, and the city-wide party ends on Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

Back on the open seas in February, it is a floating buffet fete. Rhapsody of the Seas will carry around 2,000+ guests and 765 crew as they sail and party from Puerto Rico to Trinidad for Carnival. There are on-dock welcome fetes, calypso and soca performances, and dancing bars, before returning via Tobago (for a beach party) and San Juan.

According to a hotel budgeting guide, many people pay US$500–$800 per night (for double occupancy) during Carnival in Port of Spain. For example, luxury big-chain hotels such as the Hyatt and Hilton reportedly charge US$750–$1,200+ per night during Carnival.

Seusahai posted a video on Facebook to talk about the upcoming trip, telling her fans that she paid just US$99 for the cruise and can pay the rest in installments with the cruise line.
