Trinidadian founded and operated, Cameraworks Productions International, recently took the “Business of the Year” award from 24 companies in Canada. The landmark recognition for a local company in the small business category took place in Toronto, Canada and formed part of an annual Chamber Business Achievements Awards ceremony.

The event took place on May 16 placing Cameraworks on top in the Small Business – Under 25 Employees category as a company that demonstrates a continued passion for excellence and the promotion of the advancement of responsible business leadership and harmony within the local business community.

Company Founder and President, Reddy Sampath said that the criteria was based on customer service, contribution to the community, leadership and entrepreneurship, sales growth, productivity and quality improvement, product innovation and technology and employee labour relations.

He said that only three companies made it to the finals.

“It was a pleasure going through the comprehensive nomination and judging process and an honour and privilege to be recognized for the efforts that were put into the business,” he said. “I am proud to be a Trinidad & Tobago made and headquartered company and happy to share this recent accomplishment as an example of a Trinidadian-based company being recognized abroad for its highly skilled and professional services within the media production industry.”
