Tropicana workers go on strike

Tropicana workers on the picket line.

Fifty workers of Tropicana Community Services in Toronto went on strike on Monday.

The workers who are members of Services Employees International Union (SEIU)  are demanding a fair wage increase and more transparent management  practices.

On October 21 last, the workers voted overwhelmingly in favour of strike action. They reported  that their last attempt to come to a fair settlement with management failed on Wednesday last week.
