


Mansa Musa, an entrepreneur, talented tailor, and spiritual advisor, died last Wednesday, May 3. at the Centenary Hospital in Scarborough.
He had been suffering from cancer. Musa was born on February 27, 1953, in Laventille, Trinidad and Tobago. He grew up there and migrated to Canada in 1970.
Musa is a popular entrepreneur who operated a store at the Ajax Marketplace as well as Delight House a Spiritual & Body Supplies.
He sold African Kitenge Fabric and ran a Printery, and provided spiritual advice to many of his clients.
In the mid to late 80s, he specialized in the plastics business before transitioning into spiritual advising and motivational speaking.
Besides his professional life, Musa had several hobbies, including playing instruments like the African drums and steelpan, listening to music, writing books, and working with cultural groups. He was a beloved member of his community and had many friends.
Musa was recently operated on for thyroid problems and was recovering well until he was hospitalized again due to his critical condition. He passed away within twelve days of being hospitalized.
As per his request, Musa was cremated within 48 hours of his death. He left behind two children, Abimbola Fraser (daughter) and Adisa Fraser (son), as well as his mother, father, one sister, four brothers, and many friends.
Mansa Musa was a talented entrepreneur, tailor, and spiritual advisor who touched many lives with his motivational speeches and inspiration. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
