Peterborough’s Caribbean Street Festival returns Aug. 6, filling Hunter St. with music, dance, Carnival culture and family fun.

The festival at this city 82 km northeast of Oshawa takes place from 4 to 10 p.m. between George and Water streets.

Hosted by Jamaican Self-Help and Dreams of Beans, the sixth-annual affair features live entertainment, Caribbean-inspired food, island-flavoured wares, and a kids’ zone.

The festival is still looking for volunteers and sponsors for the event. For more information, call 705-743-1671.
