St Lucia PM visits Canada

After spending some time in Toronto last weekend, St Lucia Prime Minister Kenny Anthony flew to Calgary, where he was a special guest of the St. Lucia Calgary Cultural Association’s 26th Annual Independence Dinner & Dance. The celebration was held at Greenwood Inn and it was Anthony’s the first visit to Calgary. The Prime Minister was greeted by a number of dignitaries, including several Legislative Assembly (MLA) members representing the Alberta government, and Mayor of Calgary, Toronto-born Naheed Nenshi, pictured here presenting Prime Minister Anthony with the White Hat, the symbol of Calgary. The recipient of the White Hat pledges to uphold the tradition of Western Heritage and following the Oath of the White Hat must shout out “Yahoo,” the Cowboys call at Stampedes. We’re not sure if PM Anthony did the shout out.
